Qualifications and Credit Framework

The Centre for Business delivers a range of Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Apprenticeship's.

These are formally known as National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ's) and are part of the Modern Apprenticeship's and Foundation, Modern Apprenticeship's comprised of:

• The QCF at required level
• Essential Skills Qualifications (Formerly Key Skills) – signposted throughout the QCF
• A Technical Certificate

The QCF frameworks allow your staff to learn on the job and combine Essential skills in literacy and numeracy with a QCF qualification. The QCF is a FREE work based qualification which is based on competence in the workplace. QCF's are nationally recognised qualifications and are accepted by employers all over the country as evidence of an individual's ability to do a particular job.

These qualifications are a recognised way of preparing an individual for a career or assisting them to develop within a career.

We offer fully subsidised QCF's in the following industry areas:

• Customer Service (Level 2 & Level 3)
• Business & Administration (Level 2 & Level 3)
• Management ( Level 3 & Level 5)
• Retail (Level 2 & Level 3)
• Warehouse & Distribution (Level 2 & level 3)

Assessments are usually undertaken at the learner's place of employment for 2 hours every 3 weeks on a one – to – one basis.
